FOREST AND MAIN LONG WALK / SESSION BITTER / CASK

A collaboration with Machine House Brewery in Seattle. Brewed with Golden Promise and Crystal malt; and hopped with some Harlequin and Fuggles from @CharlesFaram. The beer pours a lovely copper color.  The Harlequin hops contribute a gentle, noble-like character with subtle notes of citrus, baked pear, earl gray, and oak. 4.7% ABV

APPROACHING NOTHING / DOUBLE NEIPA / 12oz

A collaboration with Hidden River Brewing out of Douglasville, Pa. celebrating Forest and Mains 14th Anniversary. They mashed 2-row barley and lots of flaked oats, and let the Hidden River dudes throw hops wherever they damned well pleased, and it sure pleased them to throw hops just about every-damn-where! Citra, Cascade, Riwaka, and Strata made their way into the mash tun, the kettle early and late, and extra charges were added to the dry hopper. The beer pours with a Douglasville-style haze and really bursts with hop character out of the glass. We’re getting notes of mango-heavy fruit cocktail, fresh squeezed tangerine juice, psychedelic grapefruit, when you first enter the dispensary, ethereal pink cherries, and sharing a box of orange creamsicles with your pals. 8% ABV

E.S.B. /  EXTRA SPECIAL BITTER

Brewed with a rich base of British Golden Promise and a beautiful mix of British specialty malts; hopped with East Kent Goldings and a bit of Fox and Columbus; and fermented with our favourite British ale yeast. Notes of fresh homemade wheat bread, digestive biscuits, and citrus marmalade, balanced perfectly with an earthy, woodsy hop bitterness. 5.6% ABV

CULT VIBES / SAISON / 12oz

Cult Vibes is inspired by Belgian Witbiers as seen through the lens of the F&M saison way of life. It is brewed with barley and malted and unmalted spelt from @DeerCreekMalt , lemongrass and chamomile from @OmaHerbalTeas, a bit of coriander, hopped with our favourite European hops, fermented with our Foraged Yeast Culture, and conditioned with our house mixed culture. Forward notes of bright, citrusy lemongrass mixed with herbal, soothing chamomile tea. 5% ABV

PIGEON OF THE PEAK / BRITISH IPA/ BAR TOP FIRKIN

British IPA. This is one fine daddy IPA. They mashed Maris Otter and some crystal malt, hopped it in the kettle (only the kettle!) with East Kent Golding, Columbus, and Wolf, and fermented it with our London ale yeast. Such a fine beer, it’s hoppy, without the hops being the dominant thing; the malt character is there, but it finishes dry; you can really just drink it! It has notes of orange cream, fresh bread, grapefruit breakfast, granola, apple pie, and even some Twizlers. 6% ABV

FOREST AND MAIN LONG WALK / SESSION BITTER / CASK

A collaboration with Machine House Brewery in Seattle. Brewed with Golden Promise and Crystal malt; and hopped with some Harlequin and Fuggles from @CharlesFaram. The beer pours a lovely copper color with Brewed using traditional Fuggles hops and Harlequin hops. The Harlequin hops contribute a gentle, noble-like character with subtle notes of citrus, baked pear, earl gray, and oak. 4.7% ABV

FOREST AND MAIN E.S.B.

5.6% ABV

BONN PLACE MOOEY / PUB ALE

Mooey, from Bethlehem's Bonn Place Brewing, is something of a cult favorite among area brewers and other in-the-know beery folks. It's kinda the Platonic ideal of an 'Ale:' balanced, subtly fruity, moderate in strength, and meant for drinking several pints in succession. Notes of nutty malt, rich caramel, and faint citrus rind, rounded out by a smooth, low-to-moderate traditional English bitterness. 4.8%ABV

SECOND DISTRICT ARCHIVAL COFFIN / BROWN ALE

Double Brown Ale Collab with Requiem - We brought our friends Josh and Kevin from Requiem in to brew some awesome British beer with us. This is a modern adaptation of the recipe for Truman's 1840 Running Stout; in the pre-war era stout was commonly brewed in lighter color than it is today, featuring huge hopping rates and bitterness, and generally even called "Brown Stout." In that spirit we brewed this across a 3 thread mash of Simpsons Maris Otter, Brown and Black malt, hopping heavily with EKG and Whitbread Golding, and carrying out a boil of around 3 hours. The magic of vintage British recipes is on full display here; bitterness, roast, and body sort of fading into and forgiving one another. 6.5% ABV

FUNK BLUEBERRY SOUR POWER

Described as a clean, puckering, "in-your-face" sour blasted with heavy blueberry flavor. Despite its distinct tartness, it retains a natural fruity sweetness, with some craft beer drinkers comparing its aroma and smooth, malty undertones to a stack of buttery blueberry pancakes. Blueberry fans, this is the beer for you. 5.2% ABV

TALEA SPICY MARG

This sour ale replicates the flavor profile of a spicy mezcal margarita. Smoked wheat mimics Mezcal while the infused lime and pineapple capture the essence of a juicy margarita. Finally to finish it off they added sea salt and a touch of habanero to kick it up a notch. Beware it has a bite but it’s worth it! 6% ABV

WISSAHICKON FRUX: PINEAPPLE PINK GUAVA

It is a highly refreshing, tart, and fruit-forward sour ale. The flavor profile is heavily dominated by strong notes of tropical guava, balanced by a bright, tart pineapple sweetness. 7% ABV

NEW TRAIL PRICKLY PEAR SOUR

A seasonal offering from New Trail that features the unique profile of prickly pear cactus fruit, which delivers a vibrant pink pour and a refreshing flavor profile reminiscent of watermelon, strawberry, and subtle bubblegum. 5% ABV
